An overview of the permitting process that explains why Jurisdictions require different items in their respective permitting departments. The goal is to equip an applicant with the knowledge needed to research any County/City regulations and processes.

The class will be facilitated by Steve Holder, CBO, Building Official, City of Tucker and Mike Sarent, CBO, Building Inspector, City of Tucker.

Steve holder has 18 yrs experience in the building inspection field. He comes to Tucker as Building Official after most recently serving the communities of Atlanta and Roswell.

Mike Sargent is a 15 yr Army veteran, who has two decades of experience in construction. He comes to Tucker as Building Inspector after spending the past three years in Peachtree Corners.

Both Steve and Mike have Building Officials certifications through ICC

This session qualifies under the Rules of the Georgia State Licensing Board for Residential and General Contractors for three (3) continuing education credit hours. The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association has approved this seminar for three (3) CPHB continuing education credit hours.

CREDIT NOTE: Any session approved for Georgia State Licensing credit or Georgia Real Estate credit requires the participant to attend the FULL session in order to receive credit. The participant is required to sign in and sign out. Failure to sign in and sign out will result in zero (0) credit hours.
