Instructor Tom Doherty has over 40 years in the Consumer Electronics Industry and was a co-founder of CEDIA, the industries trade association. In 2001, Tom was the recipient of the CEDIA Lifetime Achievement Award. Sensing the opportunity for Custom Integration companies to add lighting design and lighting fixtures as a new category, Tom accepted the position of Director of New Technology Initiatives with the Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA).

Instructor Emily Matthews has been involved with Lutron Electronics for over 17 years and currently manages all Lutron residential lighting and shading systems for the state of Georgia. Dog Mom of 2 Great Danes and graduate of the University of Tennessee.
